Tips
Hollyhocks are one of my favorites...so charming and beautiful! Hollyhocks are often considered to be perennial, but in some regions they are biannual. You can start with seeds from seed packets. When you're sowing, space the seeds well and use a rich soil. Once their leaves begin to touch, replant them about six inches apart. They should be planted in their final, sunny positions around mid-autumn. Water a few times to help them take. In the spring, water from time to time and treat against rust every month. Hollyhocks are sturdy and once they're established they can last a long time. ____________________________________________ |
