I went out this afternoon and took these pictures of the garden. The cukes and the melons and the zinnias are growing a little. Heavy torrential rains during the night and early morning caused some damage but it doesn't seem to be a lot. Neither the cucumbers or the melons are making vines yet at all. The tomatoes are stunted and don't look good at all. It's been too cool. Despite hitting 100° several times already, we've had cold fronts that drop the lows to levels that stunt the tomatoes. In the Homestead Journal Notes I have put the latest collection of photographs of the wildflowers around the place. |
