Hello again everyone.  I've had some problems over here in the good old UK, but hope they're sorted now.  I would like to thank all those of you who emailed me privately, I really do appreciate your thoughts, and it definitely helped to 'lift' my spirits.  Thank you all.

Well it's a cold Spring here, I can't believe the year has almost half gone, and not been able to get anything growing outside yet !  I would love a polytunnel (do you call them hoop-houses ?) but my landlord won't allow it, so I have pots of small veggie plants all around the house right now, on every windowsill and available space !  I'm growing, kale, tomatos, spinach, beetroot, courgettes, pumpkins, lettuce and peppers, oh and plenty of beans for the freezer.   Outside in pots, I have strawberries, raspberries, black, white and redcurrants, I have even grown potatos in pots as I can't dig out any veggie beds.

It has been a sad time for the animals too, I recently found a little lamb in the field, he had had it's eye pecked out by carrion crow, and was bleeding badly,  I begged the farmer to let me have it to try to heal it, but he wouldn't let me take it.  The same thing happened to one of my muscovy ducks yesterday, I had to rush him to the vet to have  him put down immediately, and one of my rabbits died.  What a time, so sad.

It will be time to shear the sheep soon, but I always feel sorry for them afterwards as it is so cold.  Mine are fortunate though, they have a huge barn to shelter in, but the field sheep don't have such luxury.  I have had enquiries re: my hand spun 'stuff' a friend wants to sell it for me on her market stall, I make socks, hats, cushion covers (Pillows?) and of course sweaters.  I love craft work, but am no salesperson, so this is a good opportunity.  Also Nita has very kindly offered to put some of my stuff up on site, so that will also help. I'm also starting to make small patchwork items, all I need now is a 48 hour day.

Well that's all for now, I'm getting some more pics sorted out, and will send them soon.

My kind regards to you all.  Jeannie
