Won't be too long before time to plant your garden. Fresh vegetables always taste so good. I love turnips as did my mother and we ate them in place of potatoes sometimes.

My girls wouldn't eat them. Lots of people won't eat them but I think they buy the larger ones. They are so good for a person and the smaller ones are always the best.  When I worked for the Nursing Home I was the only person that did the laundry. The man that gave the nursing home the land lived across the street from the Home. He got his baths there and meals but I noticed that his clothes were usually dirty. I ask the manager if I could do his washing for him and she said yes.  He tried to pay me but I refused the money. His front yard was a large garden with a big turnip patch so I told him I would accept turnips instead of money. He must have been a farmer before he moved to town because he had a great garden. Kept me in vegetables as long as I worked there.
