I canned 29 quarts of stewed tomatoes yesterday and today I will be working on the starting of elderberry wine and making butter along with the usual chores and I have about a peck of string beans to fix for winter. Acorn and butternut squash are starting to ripen and the storage cellar is getting full. Our tomato crop here wasn't really great this year. Too much rain and moisture.
