I was reading my latest copy of Old Fashioned Tips newsletter and came across a link to Sunkist website. What fun ! And they had a chart showing the different varieties of fruits and where they come from. Part of the chart shows how tart or how sweet each one is. CLICK HERE FOR A VISIT TO SUNKIST ! Look on the right side of the page for Spin the Wheel. You have to watch for it and catch it as it passes by.

Breakfast Fruit/Fruit Juices

This note is part of the recipe for breakfast buffet, particularly the Tacquitos and offers a more nutritionally balanced breakfast.

If you are serving more than one other person, prepare all the fruit into bite-sized pieces and arrange on serving plate. Folks (even little ones) will eat more if they don't have to eat the entire piece of fruit. They get more of a variety as well. A toothpick in each piece will make them easier to handle. Set the serving plate on a tray of ice cubes to keep the fruit chilled.

To keep the juices simple, purchase a variety of the small juice boxes. The bigger thirst may want to try a new flavor when they come back for seconds. Place juice boxes in a tub of ice for staying cold but make sure any melted water can drain to bottom of tub.
