I have lived a frugal life, and hope I can live a few more years. The prices today kill me. I say my brain is still stuck in 1939.

Helen and I got married in 1941. We went to the local A and P store and bought food and cleaning supplies to last. We bought groceries, even brooms, mops, dust mops, etc. We filled up the back seat of my 1940 Chevrolet. The total cost ---$8.52  Honest, we still have the print out list. 

Over the years we have raised chickens, calves and pigs which we had slaughtered for food.

I enjoy reading about everyone's problems and successes and say 'been there and done that.
