As you know I still have 6 of the Easter roosters from last year. I went to the chicken house about a month ago, and lo and behold, my flock had increased by 4 hens!  I knew immediately that my neighbor was the culprit. Anyway I started feeding them (I feed anything that comes up) and a few days later I found an egg in the yard in a mud puddle. I locked all the chickens in the chicken house. In a day or 2, I got another egg in the nest.

I now let the chickens free range and am getting about 2 eggs a day. This morning I got 3.

One Easter morning a few years ago the Easter Bunnie left a 6 pack of beer in my garden, scattered among the tomatoes and beans. It sure is nice to have to have good neighbors!    More later George Wilson
