An update on Angel

Thank goodness he is fit and well now, I'm so pleased, he certainly gives me a lot to worry about.  His fleece will need clipping soon, he is an angora, but the 'wool' is no good for anything I'm afraid, it gets so knotted and matted, all I can do is keep cutting it off so he doesn't get uncomfortable.

I have to take a cat and a rabbit to the vet today, the cat will be fine I'm sure, he has a skin condition, but I don't think the rabbit will be coming home, so sad, I have found a huge lump and he is losing weight, it's so difficult, I have to decide on what is best for the animal and not for me.  I think he must be about 7 years old now, that's a good age for a rabbit, but it still hurts when their time comes.

I'm not sowing many seeds this year as I hope to be moving in the Autumn, I'll just try some fast growing stuff like lettuce and other salad crops, I wasn't going to do anything, but it's silly not too, and it will save money too.  I've got lots of current bushes growing in pots, I'm taking them all to the animal charity shop this week along with more stuff from the house, I need to clear out as much stuff as possible before I move.

I've started cutting the grass here, I say 'started' as there is so much of it, it's more like a paddock than a lawn, and it can't be done all in one session.  I've been putting the rabbits and guinea pigs out on it every day to keep it down, but it's even too much for them !

Yesterday I made pies from the apples and blackberries I put in the freezer last year, it sure brought back the taste of summer.  There's still lots of home made soups to use up yet before starting on this years stuff.
