Oliver I started on this toy puppy about 6 months ago. Just getting started was most difficult. The pattern purchased was for about 6 different little toy critters, bear, puppy, rabbit, etc. But it was printed on both sides of one huge sheet of paper. Even the directions were done that way. I took the time to make copies of all of it and still found several little bits that were not copied but easy enough to use the original to make the ends and corners complete as necessary. It was just time consuming. There is another pattern I had used long ago to make puppies and though he was cute, it was most difficult. So I tried this new one. I still got the pieces backwards at the same point but at least I could see why and knew quickly what I can done wrong.

The handy ironing board makes great space for spreading out the pieces and the fabric |
Cutting out the pattern pieces had to be done on the old handy ironing board. I kept a BIG shoe box for all the pieces, fabric and patterns. |
I had a good supply of store bought eyes and noses, heavy craft needles and strong thread. I'd originally had Randy buy me two heavy white towels but found I had enough leftover white fur material. |
I gave Oliver plenty of hugs and kisses and sent him on to Aunt Dorothy as her birthday present for last year. Notice, he is poised for play! |
