This weekend I had an adventure. Well not a big one, just a little one. A small joy I have not had in years. I took Little Bit to town with me. I have not had a young

one with me in town for many many years. I must say Little Bit (LB) did very well in the car.

First we stopped at burger king, cuz we was all hungry (or as MJ says hungary ). Well first they gave us the wrong stuff. I had to go in and exchange it for the correct item. LB enjoyed a bit of my sandwich and some hash browns, and a pint of milk, he guzzled his milk form home plus 2 we bought there! Then I went in to refill my drink of lemonade (I am really trying hard to break my soda habits) and the thing sprayed my whole front. Boy howdy was I irked! Never the less it dried as we went along.

We went and mailed several aprons (yeah they are selling!) then we were on our way to wally world and passed a yard sale.

As we turned around to stop, the car died! A quick glance at the gas gauge told us why, MJ had forgotten we needed gas! We coasted up to the yard sale, and the gentleman there gave us his gas can with gas in it. While I shopped MJ drove off to the gas station across the street. LB found a truck he liked; his little eyes just lit right up, and so “aunt” Mel just had to get it for him.

Then Aunt Mel did something totally out of character for her! She bought… gasp sputter… something GREEN! Now my long time friends and readers know, I despise green inside my home, I do not use it to decorate unless it is part of the stem or leaves on flowers. What I found was a 1970s canister set. Now what made me buy it is this… it’s a circular set, in avocado green that STACKS! I had never seen one before and I loved the shape of it! It is aluminum and I plan to paint it red or something. MJ wants to strip off the paint and leave it silver, but that doesn’t fit the old feel I need in the kitchen. Of course he also says I ought to use it as a cookie jar for 5 different types of cookies!

Anyhow, when he got back with the gas, the gentleman refused to let us pay him, instead just wishing us a wonderful weekend!

We had a lovely time with LB, he was such an angel!

It was a definite high spot for us.
