On Saturday of this past weekend, that would have been 10-08-05, Randy was looking out the living room window and said, "would you look at that." It took him pointing me in the right direction but there sat a big old Peregrine Falcon.

What a beauty. He has come up for water during hot times but I think he was looking for a snack, a bird smaller than himself. Another bird comes from above him and starts making loud noise until he gives up and goes away. What a treat. I couldn't get close with the camera though.

The above photo came from Google and was the closest to what we saw. There seem to be many varieties that don't really look like each other. But they are distinctly smaller than other hawks.

I do wish they'd eat more of the rodent and rabbit population. That would be nice.
