We are bracing for the first snow storm of the winter! Supposedly we are to receive up to 12 inches before Sunday morning. The Friday night news told us how the snow will arrive around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Of course Saturday morning the weather report has changed. The snow will be coming sometime in the late p.m.. Maybe the weather reporters had decided they really can't dictate to the viewer when Nature will unleash her fury.

Tristan and I go to the grocery store to replace the turkey breast that was left out after lunch. It was 2:00 p.m. and snow was just starting. The store was packed. It annoys me how people panic around here. All bread, milk and eggs disappear off the shelves when snow is predicted.

Maybe because I use my bread machine and Lucy and Calesta lays eggs I always have them. Between the cats and my daughter I have to keep milk plentiful too. I couldn't make a meal without using the 3 staples. I guess everyone else around here, doesn't see them as staples?

Anyway, I had Tristan's "snack" and the lunch meat and waited in line longer than it took to pick up the items. I get to the car grumbling and notice the snow has covered the car. Cool.

Tristan waited with baited breath for his "snack"....I gave it to him and watched the snow melt off the windshield. I am so happy it is finally snowing. Tristan looked in the cup holder, it was empty. I forgot our Dr. Pepper. We need to stop drinking so much anyway; Tristan doesn't see it that way. He sees it through the development level of a toddler. He tries to go through the bag. I told him to get in the back seat. I drive home enjoying the snow fall. When we arrive home our yards path is covered in snow. The weather report now states we can have up to18 inches of snow by Sunday afternoon. I'd like that. Meanwhile I'll half heartedly listen to the weather report to get a rough idea of what may come our way. Enjoying our first significant snow of winter.
