It was the 31st of last month when the first hummingbird of the season made an appearance at the feeder and there was a wasp to chase him away. But he was back the next day and when I looked out today, there were 2 and then 3. Busy playing and getting the occasional drink at the feeder.

I had put the feeder out back on the 23rd of March since that's the usual date they show up. It was in the middle of a week of freezes but they are often here when we are still having freezes.

As soon as I get some photos of this year's birds, I will add them to this page.
