It was so cold

We are in the middle of Texas but the coldest for the longest I've ever seen it here was a winter when we stayed below freezing for just over 2 weeks straight. Somewhere between 1980 and 1985. Everything froze up. All the plumbing for everyone in rural areas. We had to stay at a motel in town just to have running water, bath and toilet. Since we're not built to withstand such long durations, we were unable to function... Nita
