Tips for Longer Lasting Cut Flowers |
Cut in early morning (best) or late evening
Choose blooms ready to open or that have just opened, not fully-open Cut stem just above a node to encourage more blooms Once indoors, re-cut stems underwater at an angle to encourage water uptake Place immediately in tepid water with a floral preservative Remove leaves from the bottom third of the stem to reduce decay Change water frequently, re-cutting stems each time Keep arrangement cool and out of direct sunlight Experiment with colors and combinations |
