CHOCOLATE EARTHQUAKE CAKE

What do you do when there's 12 inches of snow on the ground, the roads are all closed and you can't go anywhere? You bake!!!!!!!

                                     
1 box German Chocolate Cake
1 1/3 c. sweetened flaked coconut
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. margarine or butter
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
4 c. powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9x13 pan. Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Cover the bottom of the pan with the nuts and coconut. Pour cake batter over this. Melt butter in a bowl and add the cream cheese. Stir (or use mixer on slowest speed) to combine and gradually add powdered sugar. Spoon this over the batter and bake for 40 to 42 minutes. Doneness can not be tested with this sticky cake. The "icing" sinks to the bottom while baking.
You may want to serve this in a bowl with chocolate chips and whipped cream.
