Denim and Sewing with scraps

If you cut off the legs from denim jeans or trousers, the top or seat parts make great purses or tote bags when you sew up the bottom part. The pockets are great for cell phones, glasses, business cards etc.

The legs make interesting things.
How about cutting one leg about 18 to 34 inches long and putting elastic in the in the top and bottom and use it for storing plastic bags that come for the grocery store.

How about cutting the legs into 8 to 10" lengths, putting some padding in and making pot holders.

Open the legs and sew them together even if the colors don't match to make throw pillows.

Material is material and one can make just about anything from denim if one thinks about it.

Sew a lot of it together and make a teepee for your kid to play in outdoors using some 1 to 2 " straight tree limbs for the teepee poles.

Got an old denim jacket, cut off the sleeves, trim it with something colorful and make a vest.

Same deal, sew up all the openings except one, fill it with filler and make a throw pillow for kids to lay on the floor with.
