Old Fashion Buttermilk Pie

This is so easy to make and is wonderful.

2½ hours | 20 min prep

SERVES 6 -8 , 1 pie

• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 1 1/4 cups sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 tablespoon flour
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 9" unbaked pie shell

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
2. Stir in eggs, flour, buttermilk, and vanilla.
3. Pour into pie shell.
4. Bake until knife tip comes out clean, about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
5. Cool slightly before serving.

This is the yummiest pie around.  Aunt Maxine makes it all the time.  I'd love to make one right now but I dont have the buttermilk.  What can I use to replace buttermilk or make a substitution
