"Flying Eagle Mobile" is a magnificent stained glass work of art ...... 07-11-10 George came over and helped Carl carry the finished piece into the Creativity Center as that is the only place where we have windows large enough to hang it in. The finished piece is 36” x 36” plus a 2 “ oak frame on all sides..

 

He, Carl, finished this small panel called “Silicon Valley Flower Power” that he made out of stained glass and some of the circuit boards from our old VCR that went bust.

It is really hard to take a picture of this with the iridescent water glass which basically is clear.

Almost 6 months in the making this series of 4 stained glass panels titled "Knowledge"© were designed by Arlene Wright-Correll and created by Carl Correll of Avalon Stained Glass in Munfordville, KY. The 1st appt. for the commission for the new Barren County Library in Glasgow, KY was on March 25th 2009 and the panels were finally finished and installed on Aug. 3rd, 2009. Each panel has 100 pieces for a total of 400 pieces that were handled a total of approximately 9600 times. The total time from start of designing the patterns to installing was just over 300 hours. Each panel is 17.75" x 17.75" and are set in a dividing wall in the new Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library. Click on the link to see the pictures.
