We're still in the brutal summer heat and just dreaming of the cooler days and nights. Must be outside early or late to get much done and already the days are growing shorter by a few minutes every day. We've had so little rain that the Pine and Cedar trees are needing lots of water. With the growth of weeds and stickers, it is very hard to get to them though.

The weeds we have the most of look to be Ragweed. They stink but the online info calls them the food of the gods and reads like they are edible. I wouldn't want to try it and not even the the grasshoppers want to taste them. Anyone ever hear of such a thing.

Randy was set to move in the next batch of plywood into the house yesterday only to find that it was wet from a bit of rain several weeks ago. He'd bought a new tarp that only allowed water in and kept it from drying. Blanco, the outside kitty, thought it was all a fine house built just for him. Poor kitty. So now, Randy will be spreading out the plywood inside for it to dry and stay dry. He's already bought most of the insulation so as soon as the doors are up, I can start putting it up on the walls.
