Did I tell you about that injured Canadian Goose that showed up last year?  We figured it was a gander.  He was by himself and appeared to have broken one of his legs.  He stayed around for about two weeks.  Healed up a little so he could limp.  We put corn out for him and I played protector when we had a pair hang around and try to get rid of him.  We named him Chester.   Then he took off. 

Wellllll, Chester is back and has a goose with him.  He still has a limp from the leg not healing properly but seems to be healthy otherwise.  He hangs around where I used to feed him and is generally a good guy.  However, he is feeling well enough to be a noisy one.  He is also a fairly large gander.
