A Blogging Milestone:

As of May 31st, 2010, I have posted 1,001 entries on my blog in just over 2 years.

My first ever post was on Monday May 19th, 2008.  Here is the first paragraph:

It's funny, I have been thinking about creating my very own blog for ages now, but have been putting it off, and putting it off. I am not sure why, maybe it has something to do with that reserved British side of me, do I want everyone knowing everything about me. Well the solution to that I suppose, is only post what I am comfortable with everyone in the world knowing about. Pretty simple solution when you think about it, don't know why I took so long to figure that one out.

I think though 1,000 posts later I have got over my reserved British side of me, dont you?

Throughout this blog process, I have met many good blogging friends.  One lady who comes to mind is Denise; we both started our blogs around the same time.  Cant remember how we found one another, but two years later we still pop by to one anothers blogs to see what the other is up to.

One thing I love about blogs, is that everyone has all sorts of interesting things to talk about.  You learn so much from these blogs, and you see all sorts of sights from different parts of the world.

Of course you get your crazy people out there posting the strange and unusual things.  Plus you get other crazy people wanting to post trash on your blog; you know the sort of thing, send them $100 and theyll be able to access thousands of dollars/pounds and send you some of it!  Thats why I moderate all my comments, no one wants to read where to buy Viagra, or buy designer purses at discount prices on my blog.

Recently though I have been thinking I have maybe run my time with my blog.  My life isnt that interesting, but you know what its a creative outlet for me; and now I am giving myself permission to take a day off from blogging every now and then.  So I guess That British Woman blog will be around for a little longer.  Wonder if it will be around in ten years time though?
