Pastel Painting & Drawing Workshop
When: January 18 - April 26, 2011 (Every Tuesdays, 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.) Any one can learn to draw and paint with pastels. Absolutely no talent needed! Arlene’s easy teaching methods will allow you to learn everything you need to know about soft pastels. Basic and advanced techniques will be covered while you work from still-life set-ups, figure models, in studio and plein air, landscape, and cityscapes views. Demonstrations and lectures will focus on, use of light and its effect on color, techniques, types of pastels available, use of different papers to create various effects, fixing and transporting finished drawings, and important safety issues.
