WARNING: DO NOT TRUST THE QUANTITY CONVERSION ON RECIPE SITES!!

I ruined a batch of noodles, gave up and threw it away. Then when I was attempting a batch of pastry, and I had the same kind of mess-I knew what the problem was. On both recipes, I had cut the quantity in half because it was such a large amount. Sure enough, inside the recipe was "in measuring cup, beat egg ....and add enough water to make...." It didn't change this part of the recipe, only the ingredients listed at the top!! I use the site all the time but it's one of those things you don't think you have to question.

WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE

There are lots of "free" recipe sites with all the fancy features, lots of ads but tons of recipes. Keep reading until you get to the part where "the best" recipes are, sure enough, for sale! Lured me in! I still use them, but keep in mind that they sell the best. Many times it is well worth the cost to purchase the books. I am well spoiled to collecting new recipes onto my computer files and find it most easy to assess the page when preparing the dish.
