It's been good !  very good !!  A Merry Christmas was had by all.

 

I spent Christmas Eve with No: 2 son and his family.  When there are children around, there is  no doubt it is the most magical time.  The delight, excitement and wonder in their eyes just cannot be described.  Each year they go on a 'light' tour, which is driving around to see the lights on the outside of peoples houses, the current trend here now, and I went too!    I think this is a charming idea, as it contributes to the festive season by  'giving' these 'light shows' to other folks.  Sometimes they have a collecting tin for charity.  My favourite part is to see the children preparing a tray for Santa and the Reindeers, with mince pies, carrots for Rudolph and a little alcholic ! drink for Santa to keep him warm !  I can only imagine Santa probably shouldn't be in charge of his sleigh after a few of these 'offerings' !!.  All that has to be left on the tray  in the morning is a few crumbs.

 

I spent Christmas Day at No: 1 son's house, he has had many problems this year including splitting up from his wife, it has been a traumatic time for him, but I've helped all I can and he is now settled in a new house with a new partner, and I  hope he continues to get stronger in his life and relationship.  That was another quiet and lovely day.  I feel blessed this Christmas.
