Yes I am a Homesteader, we call it
Smallholder here, but it means the same thing, but I am different I
suppose inasmuch as I am a vegetarian smallholder, quite unusual, most
smallholders eat their animals. I'm considered strange because I
even take my chickens to the vet if they get poorly !
I love being frugal, and get a kick
out of getting through as many days as I can without going to the
shops ! It has to be a way of life for me now, as, I don't know
if I told you before, but my long term partner has traded me in for a
younger model, and I've been left to pay for this place and take care
of the animals, not something that you expect to happen at my
age ! but hey, when you're down the only way is up!
