SITES
Sites
for Teachers.com
http://www.sitesforteachers.com/ This
is my favorite site for searching for free curriculum ideas, worksheets,
lesson plans and more. Book
Adventure
My
kids have enjoyed earning prizes on this great no-hassle site for about
a year now. Book Adventure is a FREE reading motivation program for
children. Kids in grades K-8 create their own book lists from over 6,000
recommended titles, take short (no stress) multiple choice quizzes
(online) on the books they've read (offline), and earn points and prizes
for their literary successes. Book
Adventure is a non-profit organization. Jon's

those interested in unschooling. BOOKS
Hard
Times in Paradise: An
American Family's Struggle to Out a Homestead in California's Redwood
Mountains by David
Colfax, Micki Colfax I
love this book by some real homeschooling pioneers. My husband
couldn’t put it down either! This is not curriculum- just a fun read
for Mom and Dad, especially if you like homesteading stories. Homeschooling:
A Patchwork of Days: Share a Day With 30 Families
by Nancy Lande I
wish this one had been around when I was deciding to homeschool, to give
me a peek at what homeschooling was “really” like. Please
feel free to share these resources with your friends! Kindly
tell me about any dead web links or changes in information. Thanks! ©Copyright Janienne Jennrich
