Lettuce and Spinach

For those of you that never have enough lettuce, do not harvest the entire head. Instead only harvest the tender leaves for fresh eating and the outside leaves for wilting. The plant will start putting out new leaves right away and the harvest will be extended. I only plant loose leaf lettuce as head lettuce does not do well in this part of the country. Byron Tumlinson
