I went out this afternoon with the camera and captured some photos of the wild flowers and wildlife. This is better than words alone could describe.

This is the only Firewheel I found this year. I spread seeds gathered in past years but have not seen any coming up.

This is an unknown wildflower and probably called a weed. Note the bug.

Another unknown but everywhere. I'd thought at first they were a sticker type plant but are just a regular spring beauty. Note the yellow centers.

This is another of unknown name but they grow from 3 to 6 feet tall. Beautiful.

These are so pretty that I make sure they dry on the plant in case they have seeds to mature for next year's production. Such a pretty "flower."

Okay, these aren't wild. They are called Desert Willows and in a good year they bloom in the spring as well as the fall. After the heavy rain, all the blossoms were pointing downward but they were still beautiful.
