how I Use my Scrubbies

Found a new good use for the Scrubbies.  Jan and a friend had been working taking apart some brass engine heads so I could take the brass to the recycling place.  Well, you can imagine what their hands looked like when they finished.  They used some orange cleaner and it got quite a bit but left the dirt in the lines in their hands.  Scrubbie to the rescue.  Cleaned it right out.  I also learned that it is great for cleaning up after painting.  It just rolls the paint (we were using semi-gloss) off and it doesn't stick to the Scrubbie.  from Kathy Vilseck

Dear Kathy, I wanted to tell you my Scrubbie story since I got another one yesterday. It’s purple, my favorite color.  My sister has an artist friend, who is very resourceful and finds wonderful items of all kinds. She has been the source of your Scrubbies since 2004. The first Christmas in 2004, I was blessed with one of your Scrubbies, but quickly used it up with filthy and abrasive tasks. I noticed it was better quality and more attractive than similar products on the market. The second Christmas, I got another Scrubbie, but treated it with my care this time, even searching the Internet, without success, for replacements. Yesterday, I got my third Scrubbie, and it had your tag attached. Hallelujah! Finally, I can purchase my own when I need to. The product is great for those of us who work constantly inside and outside of the house. Not only can it be used for kitchen chores, but I like to use mine in the garage for building, buffing and general cleaning of tools and “gunky” stuff around topsoil and mulch.  Thank you for creating and continuing your Scrubbie business. I am a loyal fan. Leslie

I  got my Scrubbie in the mail Saturday. Thank you!  I used it last night.  It is wonderful. It's so much softer than any of the commercial scrubbers.  Even the ones with sponges are a little stiffer than I like.  It rinsed out clean when I was finished with it. And it drained  and dried really nicely.  I also like the idea that it can be put in the dishwasher or regular washer to be cleaned!   I have a little net in my dishwasher that I can put it in, when the time comes.    You can tell Kathy they are wonderful!  One question though: If I order more, can I get an assortment of colors; or do I have to stick with one color choice? This is from our new friend, Patti Love. The answer on the colors is White, Yellow, Black, Purple, Green and Red.

I have never seen a Scrubbie up close and just by holding it for the first time I could really tell I will absolutely love it. My husband often wears shoes that have black rubber soles and he tends to scuff his feet as he walks. This leaves black lines from the front door to his chair in the den where he switches to his sandals. My back hates to bend. I sprayed the marks on the terrazzo and plopped the Scrubbie down onto the floor. With my foot in my sandal I stomped on that Scrubbie and started to scoot it along the marks. It worked like a charm. Black marks gone and back saved! Scrubbie gets a thumbs up from me. The fact I can throw it into the dishwasher is what is so great about it. I can go from the floor to the dishwasher and then to cleaning my cook top and the pots and pans. Donna Schmidtke

I recently did a search on craft sites and found one that had their own "Scrubbies" but on looking at the product, they were plain and not even made of the nylon. That means they would sour and have a very short life. They came only in a white color and were not at all pretty. Nita

Just have to share with everyone that Nita sent me one of Kathy's Scrubbies.  Those things are awesome!  I've been using it to clean my pots and pans all week.  It does every bit as nice a job as steel wool, but there are none of those annoying little metal fibers falling off and it doesn't rust! by Stacy Artis

Wanting to add a few more notes about how I use my Scrubbies. I also keep a few outdoors where I fill the puppy's water bowls. They are great for taking the scale off the pan so it doesn't build up. Keeps the algae from daring to show up, ever. I can leave them outside and the weather doesn't bother them at all. Did you see my Scrubbie Christmas Tree? I am thinking of making a tree this year using a tomato ring with the Scrubbies hung as ornaments. Red and green ones would be nice. I also keep a special Scrubbie at the kitchen sink for cleaning eggs fresh from the chickens so they are nice and pretty in the refrigerator. Thank you Kathy, from Nita.

Note from Nita: I love my Scrubbies. Over the usual flat, green scouring sheet, these are wonderful! They don't stick to the bottom of the dishpan or hide between plates, they float. And they never scratch! They are better than any other no matter the brand. And they really don't sour and smell bad! I'm sold and will buy these by the dozen! They don't sour or turn black like the sponge does. I can soak the worst of the burned on food and the Scrubbie does the rest.
